Belfast, NI. Screening of Pride + Q&A with Dai Donovan @ Queen's Film Theatre | Northern Ireland | United Kingdom

David Donovan is Wales Negotiations Officer for BECTU Sector of Prospect. Dai grew up in a mining community in South Wales, and worked in the coal industry until the miners’ strike of 1984/85. Following this, Dai studied History at Ruskin College and Swansea University and went on to work with the Media Union ACTT as a National Officer, were he has represented workers in the Broadcasting and Film Sector since 1991. He continues to work for the BECTU, Sector of Prospect, using his position to advise and represent those in the sector at risk of exploitation in the workplace. Whilst working out of the unions office in Cardiff, Dai still lives in the mining community he grew up in, and is content to live amongst those who have shared his experience and his values.
