We hope that York’s first permanent explicitly LGBT plaque will mark Holy Trinity Church, where Anne Lister and Ann Walker solemnised their commitment to each other in 1834 – an event that could be described as York’s first lesbian wedding. Come along to discuss how we should commemorate Anne and Ann, to find out how to help make more permanent rainbow plaques happen, and to make your own removable cardboard plaque. If you can’t make it, please feel free to email us in advance and we’ll create your plaque!
