Screening of award winning film 'Brother Outsider: the Life of Bayard Rustin' @ Lancaster Library | England | United Kingdom

This is a great opportunity to see the film Brother Outsider about the life and work of Bayard Rustin, a visionary activist and strategist who has been called ‘the invisible man’ and ‘the unknown hero’ of the civil rights movement, who lived as an openly gay man in the fiercely homophobic America of the 40s, 50s and 60s. There may also be a chance to meet the director Bennett Singer. Born and raised in Chicago, Bennett has been making social-issue documentaries for more than 20 years, including Brother Outsider which has been the winner of more than 25 international awards and honours.

This film is being shown in partnership with Metamorphosis Open Cinema Project.
