West Yorkshire Queer Stories Presents: Section 28 1988-2018 @ Kirkstall Abbey Visitor Centre

2018 is the 30th anniversary of the passing of the local government censorship law Section 28. How far have we come in achieving LGBTQ+ equality since 1988? How much progress has been made for young people and teachers in schools? Explore these questions, the objects which tell the story of the Section 28 protests and hear more from local LGBTQ+ activists of many ages.
