York LGBT History Month presents: Do Us Proud @ The Basement, City Screen | England | United Kingdom

Celebrate LGBT History Month with an evening of music and spoken word from a fantastic lineup of local performers:
– JJ Langley: York-based queer singer/songwriter performing a medley of covers and heartfelt originals.
– Waifs and Strays: York-based musical trio with guests give a home to songs they like to perform.
– Jaime Bolzern: Self-penned songs and spoken word, as featured at 2015’s “Do Us Proud”, York International Women’s Week and York Literature Festival.
– Izzy Isgate: Queer polyvalent acoustic project. A genre-crossing exploration of song-writing through a myriad of stringed instruments – Appalachian dulcimer, Bulgarian tamboura, ukulele, hammered dulcimer, lute, guitar, and vocals – and anything else with strings attached. Live EP “Making Ground As We Go” out now.
• Jess Gardham: York-based multi-award-winning singer/songwriter/musician. Pop, soul, acoustic fusion. EP “Rise Not Fall” out now.
