I’ve recently finished editing a new and complete edition of John Addington Symonds’s Memoirs, and this should be published in late January 2017
Symonds was a famous Victorian writer, and his remarkable autobiography (which survives in manuscript form, locked away in the London Library) tells the story of his struggles to understand, express and accommodate his homosexuality. I recently wrote a piece about the Memoirs for the TLS, which you can read here: http://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/public/locked-up-beyond-reach/
In case I could be of any help this coming LGBT History Month if you are in need of a last minute speaker, then please do get in touch and let me know, I’d really love to make Symonds’s story more widely known.
